While the Nation waited to hear the special news announcement on Osama bin Laden’s death from President Obama, the news itself had already spread throughout Twitter and across the social media platforms including facebook and linkedin.

Through the social media networks, today’s BREAKING NEWS has become IMMEDIATE and continues to amaze me!

* As an added note after I wrote the above article I discovered this link Live Tweets as Raid Was Happening that shows that a man was tweeting about the raid as it was happening!  WOW!   Simply Amazing!
